Go for a walk or run, step outside, cycle, play a game, garden or dance. Most importantly, discover a physical
activity you enjoy and that suits your level of mobility and fitness.
Connecting with the people around you, at home, work, or in your local community. Building these connections will
support and enrich you every day.
Try something new, rediscover an old interest, sign up for that course, take on a different responsibility at work, fix
a bike. Learn to play an instrument or how to cook your favourite food. Set a challenge you will enjoy achieving.
Learning new things will make you more confident as well as being fun.
Do something nice for a friend, or a stranger. Smile, volunteer your time, join a community group. Look out as well
as in. Seeing yourself, and your happiness, linked to the wider community can be incredibly rewarding and creates
connections with the people around you.
Be curious, catch sight of the beautiful, savour the moment, whether you are walking to work, eating lunch or
talking to friends. Reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciate what matters to you.

‘The support had a huge positive impact on my mental wellbeing - I feel more confident, I was at a very low point
and I now have strategies to move forward’
‘It has really helped my confidence that I was taken on the bus into town. Also, it has made me think about my
goals, what I want to achieve and what I want out of life. This has actually contributed to a forthcoming house
move as I have decided to move to an area where I know more people and there is more of a community
‘The Wellbeing Navigators involvement made me realise that the services here are better than I’d experienced in
the past – I had little trust before. She made me feel that we were worth something and gave me confidence. We
are in a much better place now.’
